17. Al Quran, Surah Al-Haqqa (69) Verse 1-52 - Sheikh Ahmed Al Ajmi - The conditions of earth, Mountains, heaven, Angels on Last day and distribution of Records to the people

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

	1   الْحَاقَّةُ
	1:  The Inevitable (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)!
	Urdu 1:  قیامت
	2   مَا الْحَاقَّةُ
	2:  What is the Inevitable?
	Urdu 2:  قیامت کیا چیز ہے
	3   وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحَاقَّةُ
	3:  And what will make you know what the Inevitable is?
	Urdu 3:  اور تمہیں کس چیز نے بتایا کہ قیامت کیا ہے
	4   كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌ بِالْقَارِعَةِ
	4:  Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah (the striking Hour of Judgement)!
	Urdu 4:  ثمود اور عاد نے قیامت کو جھٹلایا تھا
	5   فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ
	5:  As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the awful cry!
	Urdu 5:  سو ثمود تو سخت ہیبت ناک چیخ سے ہلاک کیے گئے
	6   وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ
	6:  And as for 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind!
	Urdu 6:  اور لیکن قوم عاد سو وہ ایک سخت آندھی سے ہلاک کیے گئے
	7   سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ
	7:  Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms!
	Urdu 7:  وہ ان پر سات راتیں اور آٹھ دن لگاتار چلتی رہی (اگر تو موجود ہوتا) اس قوم کو اس طرح گرا ہوا دیکھتا کہ گویا کہ گھری ہوئی کھجوروں کے تنے ہیں
	8   فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّن بَاقِيَةٍ
	8:  Do you see any remnants of them?
	Urdu 8:  سو کیا تمہیں ان کا کوئی بچا ہوا نظر آتا ہے
	9   وَجَاءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِ
	9:  And Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown [the towns of the people of [Lut (Lot)] committed sin.
	Urdu 9:  اور فرعون اس سے پہلے کے لوگ اور الٹی ہوئی بستیوں والے گناہ کے مرتکب ہوئے
	10   فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَّابِيَةً
	10:  And they disobeyed their Lord's Messenger, so He seized them with a strong punishment.
	Urdu 10:  پس انہوں نے اپنے رب کے رسول کی نافرمانی کی تو الله نے انہیں سخت پکڑ لیا
	11   إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَى الْمَاءُ حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ
	11:  Verily, when the water rose beyond its limits [Nuh's (Noah) Flood], We carried you (mankind) in the floating [ship that was constructed by Nuh (Noah)]
	Urdu 11:  بے شک ہم نے جب پانی حد سے گزر گیا تھا تو تمہیں کشتی میں سوار کر لیا تھا
	12   لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ
	12:  That We might make it (Noah's ship) an admonition for you and that it might be retained by the retaining ears.
	Urdu 12:  تاکہ ہم اسے تمہارے لیے ایک یادگار بنائیں اور اس کو کان یا د رکھنے والے یاد رکھیں
	13   فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ
	13:  Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one).
	Urdu 13:  پھر جب صور میں پھونکا جائے گا ایک بار پھونکا جانا
	14   وَحُمِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَاحِدَةً
	14:  And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing.
	Urdu 14:  اور زمین اور پہاڑ اٹھائے جائیں گے پس وہ دونوں ریزہ ریزہ کر دیئے جائیں گے
	15   فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ
	15:  Then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall.
	Urdu 15:  پس اس دن قیامت ہو گی
	16   وَانشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ
	16:  And the heaven will be rent asunder, for that Day it (the heaven) will be frail and torn up.
	Urdu 16:  اور آسمان پھٹ جائے گا اوروہ اس دن بودا ہوگا
	17   وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰ أَرْجَائِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ
	17:  And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them.
	Urdu 17:  اور اس کے کنارے پر فرشتے ہوں گے اور عرشِ الہیٰ کو اپنے اوپر اس دن آٹھ فرشتے اٹھائیں گے
	18   يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ
	18:  That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden.
	Urdu 18:  اس دن تم پیش کیے جاؤ گے تمہارا کوئی راز مخفی نہ رہے گا
	19   فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَيَقُولُ هَاؤُمُ اقْرَءُوا كِتَابِيَهْ
	19:  Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Here! read my Record!
	Urdu 19:  جس کو اس کا اعمال نامہ اس کے داہنے ہاتھ میں دیا جائے گا سو وہ کہے گا لو میرا اعمال نامہ پڑھو
	20   إِنِّي ظَنَنتُ أَنِّي مُلَاقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ
	20:  "Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!"
	Urdu 20:  بے شک میں سمجھتا تھا کہ میں اپنا حساب دیکھوں گا
	21   فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ
	21:  So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing.
	Urdu 21:  سووہ دل پسند عیش میں ہو گا
	22   فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ
	22:  In a lofty Paradise,
	Urdu 22:  بلند بہشت میں
	23   قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ
	23:  The fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand.
	Urdu 23:  جس کے میوے جھکے ہوں گے
	24   كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِي الْأَيَّامِ الْخَالِيَةِ
	24:  Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past!
	Urdu 24:  کھاؤ اور پیئو ان کاموں کے بدلے میں جو تم نے گزشتہ دنوں میں آگے بھیجے تھے
	25   وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ
	25:  But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record!
	Urdu 25:  اور جس کا اعمال نامہ اس کے بائیں ہاتھ میں دیا گیا تو کہے گا اے کاش میرا اعمال نامہ نہ ملتا
	26   وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ
	26:  "And that I had never known how my Account is!
	Urdu 26:  اور میں نہ جانتا کہ میرا حساب کیا ہے
	27   يَا لَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِيَةَ
	27:  "Would that it had been my end (death)!
	Urdu 27:  کاش وہ (موت) خاتمہ کرنے والی ہوتی
	28   مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهْ ۜ
	28:  "My wealth has not availed me;
	Urdu 28:  میرا مال میرے کچھ کام نہ آیا
	29   هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلْطَانِيَهْ
	29:  "My power (and arguments to defend myself) have gone from me!"
	Urdu 29:  مجھ سے میری حکومت بھی جاتی رہی
	30   خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ
	30:  (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him;
	Urdu 30:  اسے پکڑو اسے طوق پہنا دو
	31   ثُمَّ الْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ
	31:  Then throw him in the blazing Fire.
	Urdu 31:  پھر اسے دوزخ میں ڈال دو
	32   ثُمَّ فِي سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوهُ
	32:  "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!"
	Urdu 32:  پھر ایک زنجیر میں جس کا طول ستر گز ہے اسے جکڑ دو
	33   إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ
	33:  Verily, he used not to believe in Allah, the Most Great,
	Urdu 33:  بے شک وہ الله پر یقین نہیں رکھتا تھا جو عظمت والا ہے
	34   وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ
	34:  And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor).
	Urdu 34:  اور نہ وہ مسکین کے کھانا کھلانے کی رغبت دیتا تھا
	35   فَلَيْسَ لَهُ الْيَوْمَ هَاهُنَا حَمِيمٌ
	35:  So no friend has he here this Day,
	Urdu 35:  سو آج اس کا یہاں کوئی دوست نہیں
	36   وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍ
	36:  Nor any food except filth from the washing of wounds.
	Urdu 36:  اور نہ کھانا ہے مگر زخموں کا دھون
	37   لَّا يَأْكُلُهُ إِلَّا الْخَاطِئُونَ
	37:  None will eat it except the Khati'un (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists).
	Urdu 37:  اسے سوائے گناہگاروں کے کوئی نہیں کھائے گا
	38   فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ
	38:  So I swear by whatsoever you see,
	Urdu 38:  سو میں ان چیزوں کی قسم کھاتا ہوں جو تم دیکھتے ہو
	39   وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ
	39:  And by whatsoever you see not,
	Urdu 39:  اوران کی جو تم نہیں دیکھتے
	40   إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ
	40:  That this is verily, the word of an honoured Messenger [i.e. Jibril (Gabriel) or Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم which he has brought from Allah].
	Urdu 40:  کہ بے شک یہ (قرآن) رسول کریم کی زبان سے نکلا ہے
	41   وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ
	41:  It is not the word of a poet: little is that you believe!
	Urdu 41:  اور وہ کسی شاعر کا قول نہیں (مگر) تم بہت ہی کم یقین کرتے ہو
	42   وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ
	42:  Nor is it the word of a soothsayer (or a foreteller): little is that you remember!
	Urdu 42:  اور نہ ہی کسی جادوگر کا قول ہے تم بہت ہی کم غور کرتے ہو
	43   تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
	43:  This is the Revelation sent down from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists).
	Urdu 43:  وہ پرودگار عالم کا نازل کیا ہوا ہے
	44   وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الْأَقَاوِيلِ
	44:  And if he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allah جل جلاله),
	Urdu 44:  اور اگر وہ کوئی بناوٹی بات ہمارے ذمہ لگاتا
	45   لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْيَمِينِ
	45:  We surely would have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might),
	Urdu 45:  تو ہم اس کا داہنا ہاتھ پکڑ لیتے
	46   ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِينَ
	46:  And then We certainly would have cut off his life artery (aorta),
	Urdu 46:  پھر ہم اس کی رگِ گردن کاٹ ڈالتے
	47   فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَاجِزِينَ
	47:  And none of you could have withheld Us from (punishing) him.
	Urdu 47:  پھر تم میں سے کوئی بھی اس سے روکنے والا نہ ہوتا
	48   وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
	48:  And verily, this (Qur'an) is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (the pious. See V.2:2).
	Urdu 48:  اور بے شک وہ تو پرہیزگاروں کے لیے ایک نصیحت ہے
	49   وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ
	49:  And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Qur'an). (Tafsir At-Tabari)
	Urdu 49:  اور بے شک ہم جانتے ہیں کہ بعض تم میں سے جھٹلانے والے ہیں
	50   وَإِنَّهُ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
	50:  And indeed it (this Qur'an) will be an anguish for the disbelievers (on the Day of Resurrection).
	Urdu 50:  اور بے شک وہ کفار پر باعث حسرت ہے
	51   وَإِنَّهُ لَحَقُّ الْيَقِينِ
	51:  And verily, it (this Qur'an) is an absolute truth with certainty.
	Urdu 51:  اور بے شک وہ یقین کرنے کے قابل ہے
	52   فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ
	52:  So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great.
	Urdu 52:  پس اپنے رب کے نام کی تسبیح کر جو بڑا عظمت والا ہے
